NS EVANGELISM SEMINAR
Excited leaders and members from Burnaby Fil-Can and North Shore began spreading the word by handing out flyers and books in key spots. A group of women handed out seminar flyers and "Steps to Christ" books at the Northshore Quay ferry and bus station. Some men distributed invitation on the streets and parking lots to get more people interested, we also advertised the event in the Northshore News and on social media and created www.Northshoreadventist.ca website to promote the Adventist presence in the community.
Pastor Benjie Arias from Victoria Fil-Can and Duncan SDA Churches was invited to deliver the 11-days message due to his vast experience and educational background. With a bachelor's degree in Religious Studies (Theology) from Burman University and years of hands-on experience in the ministry. His deep understanding of scripture combined with his ability to connect with individuals on a personal level allows him to effectively convey messages of faith, hope, and inspiration. He continues to impact lives through his teachings and provide guidance for those seeking spiritual guidance.
During the 11-day seminar, it was encouraging to see regular visitors consistently attending sessions and actively engaging in discussions on various topics related to Biblical knowledge. Their dedication to learning and growing spiritually was evident through their commitment to attend each session exposing themselves to different perspectives and interpretations of Biblical teachings, understand key concepts of the scriptures. This not only enriched their personal faith but praying to share their newfound insights with others in their community.
The Bible seminar, with its engaging messages of the end-times sparked interest among attendees. Two individuals, Jossard Prosper and Darlene Moreau were inspired to make a profound commitment to their faith, taken an important step towards embracing Christian values by undergoing baptism and accepting Christ as their Savior. This significant decision reflects not only a personal spiritual transformation but also a deeper understanding of the principles outlined in the Bible.
Thanks to Pastor Theody Malabanan's hard work in fostering spiritual growth and encouraging participants to deepen their relationship with God, home visitation and one-on-one Bible study nurturing one's religious journey. Jehaziel Alburo-Weiler's uplifting message in songs speaks the love of God and inspired the nightly seminar. We are forever grateful for your talent and support. And to all who volunteered for the success of seminar, God bless you.
We know that the real work is just beginning at North Vancovuer. We can't wait to see how lives will be touched and hearts will be changed through this initiative!
